Meet the Staff
Dee Dodson
Senior Director of Advancement Communications
Dee’s major responsibilities are creating materials for Advancement, including The Campaign for TCU, editing the TCU Outlook newsletter, and providing speech writing and editorial support for the Chancellor. She has been at TCU for almost two decades, first working in the University’s Communications Office, where she covered the sciences. She soon moved to University Advancement to provide writing and editing assistance for the development staff. In 1994, she was named director of Development Communications and was tasked with creating the fund-raising materials for The Next Frontier Campaign. In 2006, she became senior director of Advancement Communications.
Before coming to TCU, Dee taught journalism and had a communications business focused primarily on nonprofit organizations, with clients that included the City of Austin and the University of Texas. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Florida. In 2006, she was a finalist for the Chancellor’s Staff Award for Outstanding Service.

Ma’lisa Yost
Associate Director of Advancement Communications
Ma’lisa has more than 20 years of writing, editing and project management experience in the health care, higher education, news and technology fields. She served as TCU’s internal communications editor from 1993 to 1996, spearheading the development and production of two award-winning employee publications and initiating the expansion and redesign of the TCU Fine Arts Events Calendar. Since 2001, she has provided strategic marketing, project management and editorial services to annual fund, gift planning and major donor operations of University Advancement, including Web pages, donor newsletters and gift solicitations. She also edits and manages the production of an e-newsletter received by 28,000 TCU alumni, and served as manager/editor of TCU’s award-winning annual donor report.
From 1996 to 2001, Ma’lisa provided writing, editing and publications management services to corporations, universities, and health care and nonprofit organizations through her own communications business. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of North Texas. In 2006, she was a finalist for The Chancellor’s Staff Award for Outstanding Service.
